SAUNA AND ... DIABETES

Diabetes is an illness that in principle allows one to go to the sauna.
SVB recommends that all diabetics seek the advice of their treating physician before going to the sauna.
Those who would like some more info can find it below.

WHAT IS DIABETES?

Diabetes, also known as diabetes, is an incurable metabolic disease.
The body is no longer able to regulate blood sugar by itself.
Insulin is no longer produced, or it responds poorly to insulin, leaving you feeling tired and lifeless.
Injecting insulin restores balance to the body and makes you feel better.
The difference of hot and cold causes blood pressure to fluctuate and it is because of this that diabetics need to pay attention.

DIABETES AND THE SAUNA.

Patients with diabetes can certainly enjoy the benefits of a sauna, but of course they need to pay a little attention.
The blood circulation of the skin increases, which means that the insulin is absorbed faster and thus has a stronger effect.
Injecting insulin just before the sauna is therefore not a good idea.
You are better off always going to the sauna in company, regularly measuring glucose levels and providing a snack for emergencies.
Also, be reasonable during your sauna visit, limit your time in the hot areas, cool off well and rest sufficiently between sauna sessions.
