All about sauna

An Oasis of Warmth and Relaxation

Saunas have a rich history dating back thousands of years, with roots deep in Scandinavian culture. The origin of the sauna lies in Finland, where several thousand years ago people dug out a space in the ground, completely shielded from weather and wind. In the center they placed stones heated by a fire. This “sweat tradition” spread and evolved over time, making saunas an integral part of the Finnish and Scandinavian lifestyle. Today, they (read: saunas/spas) are loved by a large audience worldwide as being a place to work on your health, but equally as a kind of refuge to just escape from the day-to-day life and its continuous stimuli.

The Variety of Saunas and Wellness Facilities

In a modern wellness center, you will find a wide range of saunas. From the traditional Finnish sauna, with its dry heat, to the milder bio sauna, the infrared cabin (good for the muscles) and the steam bath (hamam). And, there are even more facilities that give the term “sauna” – or say “wellness” – an extra dimension: from hot and cold showers to swimming and relaxation pools, invigorating plunge pools, rest rooms, salt rooms, numerous individual treatments and massages and much more! You read it right: there is something for everyone.
